The questions
go both ways.
We started with Linh's question. We're still following it. The people who've reached out, the things they've asked, the details they've noticed โ they've already changed how we look.
We didn't set out to build a community. We set out to answer a question. But curiosity, it turns out, is hard to do alone. Every expedition begins with questions: ours, the producers', and increasingly, the people following along.
The best discoveries happen in conversation. This is where that conversation lives.
What conversation has already found
Discoveries we wouldn't have made alone.
Ethiopia, Kaffa Region
Almaz, a farmer in the Kaffa highlands, mentioned that she sings to her coffee trees. That detail, offered in passing, sent us down a path that led to Solomon and 38 years of oral history we hadn't known existed. The smallest observations carry the most weight.
This section will grow as real conversations shape real expeditions. We're at the beginning. The stories above are what genuine exchange looks like. Yours might be next.
Who we're talking to
Everyone arrives differently.
Curious Explorers
You've started wondering about what's behind your morning cup. Why do Vietnamese farmers grow coffee alongside pepper and durian? Why does Almaz sing to her trees? What does it mean that a 600-year-old coffee ceremony still happens daily in the region where coffee was born, and almost no one outside that region knows about it? Tell us what you'd like us to dig into next.
Send us a questionCultural Partners
Producers, cultural guides, musicians, artists, researchers. If you're preserving coffee knowledge or creating around coffee culture, talk to us. We don't repackage traditions. We document them, with permission, in partnership with the people who carry them. Collaboration that respects what it draws from.
Start a conversationFellow Adventurers
Sometimes the best entry point is a simple hello. Share a coffee ritual you practise, a question you can't shake, or something you noticed that didn't quite add up. Every voice adds depth to this. There's no wrong place to begin.

Alice and Nick read every message. Questions that could shape an expedition, collaboration enquiries, and anything that needs a proper conversation get a personal reply.
This journey started with one farmer's question. The next discovery might begin with yours. What's on your mind?
